What to Expect at The Fleuridian
Pre-appointment
Hooray! You’ve just booked your appointment at The Fleuridian. You’ve filled out the questionnaire to help us get to know you and your style. You are also ALWAYS welcome to send us an email (info@thefleuridian.com) to update us if anything changes or if there’s any additional information the form did not capture.
We’ll call to confirm your appointment about a week before. At that time, you can also share anything you’d like us to know before you arrive!
Day of appointment
Please wear your fave shapewear or whatever undergarments make you most comfortable, and bring a pair of heels roughly the height you’d wear on your big. And don’t forget to bring your favorite people!
Drive down our tree-lined street and park in the lot on the left hand side of the shop. If all spots are full, feel free to park behind our shop.
Snap a selfie under our jasmine lined archwary and come on in!
No need to arrive earlier than your scheduled appointment time.
You’ll be greeted by The Fleuridian owners, Sloane and Kate, offered a beverage and shown the curated assortment of 8-10 gowns pre-selected based on the preferences you’ve expressed leading up to your appointment. You’ll talk through any other important details and then trying-on commences!
Sloane or Kate are happy to assist you with dressing but if you are more comfortable with a friend or family member assisting you, no problem! Just let us know.
You’ll have an hour and half to try on gowns. Toward the second half of the appointment, you can re-try your favorites or try on some “wild cards” if what you’d originally envisioned isn’t quite right. We can also add accessories like veils, gloves, capes etc. to your favorites.
If you find your perfect dress - AMAZING! We’ll process your order your gown the same day. If you are stuck between 2 or 3 dresses, sleep on it. You can always come back for another appointment to make a final decision.
Once your dress is ordered, we’ll let you know an estimated time of arrival. Your dress will arrive at the shop, at which point, you are welcome to come pick it up (and try it on before you leave!) or we’re happy to ship the gown to you for a small fee if you are not in the Gainesville area.
We do not offer in-house alterations but we’re happy to recommend our favorite Gainesville-based alteration specialists.
And then - it’s your big day! Please feel free to tag @TheFleuridian in your wedding photos if you don’t mind us sharing them with our followers!
